Flavor has always been more than a physical result for Ceado. Through a richer visual language, we give new shape to a core belief that has always defined our vision: flavor is not simply what we taste, but what we perceive.
A Philosophy Rooted in Perception
For Ceado, flavor and perception have always been deeply connected. With Designing Flavor, we gave shape to our founding philosophy: developing the tools, technologies, and workflows that bring flavor to life.
Today, this vision finds a deeper representation through our new visual language.
Flavor perception is a complex, deeply personal experience. It goes beyond taste itself, unfolding through nuances, depth, light, texture, and emotion. What we perceive is shaped not only by the coffee itself, but by context, technology, time, and individual interpretation.
Flavor as Perception stems directly from this core belief. It is an exploration of flavor not as a single, predefined outcome, but as a space to be explored, interpreted, and shaped.
Giving Form to the Invisible
This deeper perspective comes to life through a new visual system created to make the invisible visible.
The new visual language translates the perceptual nature of flavor through moving forms, blending colors, shifting dimensions, and softer boundaries. Colors blend and shapes expand, mirroring the way an aroma moves through space, fills a room, and leaves a lasting impression in memory.
This new visual identity is not an aesthetic departure, but a richer, more articulate way for Ceado to communicate its long-standing identity.
Design, Technology, and Sensory Exploration
This journey was developed in collaboration with Emo Design, Ceado’s long-term partner in product design. The project stems from a shared exploration of how to translate flavor perception into communication, creating natural continuity between the design culture that guides our equipment and the way our philosophy is expressed visually.
The same approach is reflected in how Ceado engineers its technologies. Because there is no single way to perceive flavor, there is no single path to achieving it. Different coffees, sensory goals, and workflows call for tailored tools. By combining distinct grinding technologies, burr geometries, and modular architectures, Ceado provides baristas and professionals with the freedom to explore and define their own sensory experience.
With this new visual language, Ceado reaffirms its commitment to bridging technology, research, and design culture, giving form to the invisible, one detail at a time.
